Accept your world as it is now, without reservation, and only then do you have the power to change it.Click to tweet
What don't you like about your life right now?
The thing about disliking or disapproving of anything in your life is that whatever you dislike, you push against, and whatever you push against, you create.
Kind of tricky, isn't it?
I recently had one of the scariest, and yet most liberating, experiences.
I've been taking the Master Your Life tele-course from The Release Technique. And, in one of the calls, they were discussing how to get to a place of complete acceptance.
Acceptance means, totally allowing everything to be okay as it is now.
Not accepting everything so you can later change it, as I think I had been doing, and I know others who do the same.
But, totally, 100% without reservation, accepting all that is as absolutely perfect right now.
And then deciding to hold an intention of something new. But not because you need it to be different.
As I said, that is pretty frightening to the mind. But when I was able to really get to that place, there was also no surpassing that experience.
So ask yourself again, what do you dislike or disapprove of in your life?
Or, more simply, what would you like to change?
It could be things like:
- “I would like to change my job.”
- “I would like to change my relationship.”
- “I would like to change my bank balance.”
And now replace, “I would like to change…,” with, “I am creating…”.
- “I am creating my job.”
- “I am creating my relationship.”
- “I am creating my bank balance.”
Is that what you want? I doubt it.
So now change “I would like to change…,” to “I accept…”.
- “I accept my job.”
- “I accept my relationship.”
- “I accept my bank balance.”
Doing this will broadcast to the Universe that you are ready for these things to change. Essentially saying “I accept…” is to tell the Universe, “I allow change to come to…”.
- “I allow change to come to my job.”
- “I allow change to come to my relationship.”
- “I allow change to come to my bank balance.”
But remember, it is not you asking for change, it is the result of complete acceptance of what is.
If you ask for change, you will create more of the same.
But if you accept what is, you are allowing change to come naturally to those parts of your life from your mere intention.
It's extremely counterintuitive, because the mind wants to push against what we don't like. But, the fact that we don't like it, means that it still has a lesson for us. And when we can learn that lesson, allowing us to fully accept it as-is, then it has the freedom to shift virtually overnight.
So, what are you creating now, through your resistance? Accept it fully, and see the change that can flood into your life.
