Are your goals supposed to be effortless, or do they require some structural tension?
I've noticed lately that my posts have been on one end or the other of this particular spectrum.
Meanwhile on the more tension-oriented end, I've talked about the importance of investing energy and resources in your goals, the need for resistance in the manifestation process, and the need for goal statements.
With all of my posts, the information comes through from a very deep source—one could almost call it channeling, but I don't like to call it that. Information just appears and I know it's true, and when I apply it to my own life, of course, it works.
So I had no doubt in the veracity of all these posts and the ideas expressed therein. But there had to be a resolution to this seeming conflict.
So I went within and meditated on this issue. And within a couple of days, I had the answer.
In this post, I will resolve this seeming conflict, by laying out a complete outline of the manifestation process.
This post, however, will only be the first of 5 posts on the path of a manifestation.
This post will introduce the topic, then there will be four additional posts outlining the four levels of a manifestation, as such:
Different Levels Call for Different Approaches
The point to these levels was that depending where on that spectrum your goal falls for you, it requires a potentially very different approach.
If you tried to approach a next level goal like you would a current level goal, it would fail.
In fact, many clients who come to me have this exact issue. They have manifested pretty simple things in life, but when they tried to apply those same techniques to something that felt bigger to them, they only met with resistance.
This is unique because most techniques you'll find out there won't specify for what level of goal they can be used. It's often just assumed that one goal is like another.
I came to that conclusion after meditating on the apparent conflict between those who say to just “feel good” and the goal will come, and those who say to focus on the goal daily.
The same sort of thing is true with this. There is a time, or a level, at which it's appropriate to let go and just allow. And theres also a time at which it's appropriate to dynamically manipulate the fabric of your own inner reality to bring into existence what it is you want.
Trying to take either of these approaches at the wrong time will just result in frustration. But learning when to take each approach will allow you to speed up the manifestation process significantly.
4 Levels of Manifestation
I realized that a manifestation is not just a static thing. It has a particular path that it follows, from purely spiritual / energetic and into the physical.
When you read what these levels are, you might think it is rather simplistic at first. But please just stick with me for a bit, and I hope it'll start to come together.
The four levels of a manifestation are soul, mind, emotion, and matter.
Each level requires a slightly different approach, which explains the variety of approaches I have been describing.
In order for a manifestation to be successful, it must work its way through all of these levels. If it does not, either it will not manifest at all, or the manifestation will not be as intended, and it may even be lost.
The 4 Worlds of Kabbalah
Before I get into the levels and what each entails, I'd like to discuss the correlation between these levels, and the four worlds of Kabbalah.
Kabbalah, of course, is the mystical tradition of Judaism. It has its foundation on the Tree of Life, which is a topic I may discuss further later on if there is interest.
However, the Kabbalah splits creation into four worlds (ha Olamot):
- Atziluth: World of Emanation
- Beri'ah: World of Creation
- Yetzirah: World of Formation
- Assiah: World of Action
Each world, in descending order, takes the Divine Light from the Absolute, and filters it in its particular way.
Atziluth, the World of Emanation, is the closest to the Source of that Light, and therefore has the least filtering. It's when the idea of creation is just barely differentiable from the unity of the Absolute. It corresponds to the level of soul.
Beri'ah, the World of Creation, is correlated to the level of mind or intellect. It's considered the higher, rational mind, not identified with ego.
Yetzirah, the World of Formation, is correlated to the level of emotion. It gives greater shape to the manifestation, thanks to the use of emotion.
And finally, Assiah, the World of Action, corresponds to the level of matter. Assiah is basically the physical world, where all energy is crystallized in manifestation.
This is an extremely simplistic overview, and I will give much more detail when I discuss each of the levels in turn. But, I just wanted to give the relation between these four worlds and the four levels I have been discussing. When I thought of these levels, and realized their correspondence to these four worlds, everything clicked into place for me.
The Four Levels in Summary
I was going to do this in all one post. But I'd like to give special attention to each level/world in turn, and it would make this post quite long.
Also, this feels important to me, and I don't want this post to get lost amidst a sea of other posts.
Therefore I am going to do this as a five-part series, with this being the first. In the next four parts of this series, over the next month or so, I will share each step of the path of manifestation.
However, so as to give you a preview of what is to come, I will give an overview of how all of these fit together.
The level of soul, or the World of Emanation, is about inspiration. Force cannot be used on this level, as the goal at this point is merely a spark—or a seed, as I call it in this week's Creators Circle. This level, instead, is all about alignment, expression, resonance, and allowing.
The level of mind, or the World of Creation, is where the goal starts to take on more definition. More details start to be introduced. But it is also the level at which the seed of that goal really takes root, and so it also requires the gentle energy of allowing. Trust is also an integral part of this level, and where you have to surrender the big picture of this goal to the Universe.
The level of emotions, or the World of Formation, is where the goal starts to enter reality. This is where resistance starts to arise, but it is also where you really start to feel good about the goal, in a much more concrete way.
In Kabbalah, there is an abyss between the World of Creation and the World of Formation. It takes this structural tension to cross that abyss and successfully make it through the level of emotions. This is where all of your hidden stuff is stored in the subconscious, so it requires facing your shadow and overcoming your fears.
As such, this level is where more power is required to bring the goal into outer reality.
And finally, the level of matter, or the World of Action, is where the goal finally starts to take shape in the physical world. It may require action on your part as well, which is the reason for the name of the world on this level.
The main challenge of the manifestation process is crossing the abyss between the levels of mind and emotion. The first two levels are honestly pretty simple. But it takes a real effort of will to cross to the next level. Where the passive approach works for soul and mind, it does not work for emotion and matter. And where the active approach works for emotion and matter, it is too forceful for soul and mind.
So, you see, you have to alter your approach based on where you are in the manifestation process. This is the element that many people are missing, and so they run into issues when trying to manifest their goals.
But with an understanding of these levels, you'll always know where you are in the manifestation process, and what you have to do next.
How About You?
Now it's your turn. What has been your approach when it comes to manifestation? Have you noticed how it works in some circumstances, and not in others? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
