When you feel the lack of your desire in your life, and feel you need it to be happy, then you are pulled forward on an endless chase. However, if you’d just let go, surrender, and enter a state of allowing, your desires would happily come to you quickly and easily. There should be no effort involved with all of this.

There are so many misconceptions about how it works, and we want to dispel those, and give simple techniques for how to manifest your desires.
Let Your Desires Come to You
Learning how to allow your desires to come to you is very underemphasized by many people. It’s about getting from the point of being unhappy with where you are, to being happy with where your life is headed. Once you’re able to do that, the law of attraction will bring you more things just like that. If you’re happy with your life, the law of attraction will bring you more things to be happy about.
But if you’re focusing on what you don’t want, such as not wanting to be poor, or not wanting to be alone, the law of attraction can only ever bring you more like that. You must ask yourself, “Is what I’m focusing on what I really want to see more of in my life?”
If the answer is no, then you need to shift your focus away from that, and more towards what it is you do want in your life.
The thing is, it’s not enough to talk about what you want. You have to feel it, too.
You can say you want more money and feel terribly, or say those same words and feel wonderfully about it. It is two totally different manifestations. It is dependent on your vibration, not on your words.
Are You Chasing Your Desire? You’re Just Chasing It Away
Most people try to go after their desires—they try to chase them. The more that they chase their desires, the further away the desire is.
Why? Because chasing your desires feels stressful. It feels like lack. It feels like neediness.
But if you just let the desire come to you, you can enter a deep state of allowing, and the desire will come effortlessly.
What does allowing feel like? It feels like peace. It feels like abundance. It feels like fullness.
And when you feel these things, then you get more like that, which is a perfect match to your desire, and therefore it is manifested in your life.
And you don’t necessarily need to know exactly what you want.
It is sufficient simply to know what that desire feels like. Find the vibration of that desire. Find the essence of the desire. And, focus on that. Then, the perfect match to that vibration must necessarily manifest into your reality.
There are no methods necessary. Simply have an idea of what it is you want. Ask yourself what this desire makes you feel like. Does it feel like happiness? Abundance? Security? Then effortlessly move towards that vibration. That is really all that is required. No techniques, no visualizations, and no affirmations.
As you move towards that vibration, your desire will be attracted to you, because you are now a complete match to the vibration of that desire.
What Does Manifestation Have to Do with My Cat?
I have noticed that my own cat is a perfect example of this principle.
When my cat comes to visit me, if I reach out to try to pet him, he will run away.
However, if I simply sit back and let him come to me, without trying to do anything myself, he will naturally come to me of his own accord.
I literally just need to sit back, and that bit of openness invites him to come closer.
This is how a desire is. If you try to go after your desire, it will just run away from you.
But if you sit back and allow it to come to you—if you provide it that little bit of openness—it will do so with little to no effort. Just provide that openness, and it will come.
It’s like the metaphor, a watched pot never boils. The more you’re trying to watch out for your desire, the less likely it’s actually going to come.
For instance, if you’re trying to manifest money, and you keep checking if the money has come yet, it’s never going to. If you simply let go and enter into a state of allowing, then the money will come.
But it requires letting go. It requires just feeling good, even when you can’t necessarily find a reason to feel good immediately.
Nothing else than this is required. Choose to feel good, and that is everything.
Make Peace with What Is
In my blog post on Monday, How to Boost Law of Attraction Success through Non-Doing, I said people who pray will often say, “If you just answer this one prayer, I will never ask for anything again.”
But, the Universe wants us to ask.
And, asking in such a way shows a great amount of need. How can the Universe possibly answer if you’re feeling so needy? Need is a synonym of lack of your desire. That’s all the Universe is able to see, so your desire doesn’t come.
The first step of my Effortless Manifestation Process is simply to make peace with where you are. Stop pushing against reality. Stop needing it to be different.
Your manifestation must be out of fullness, not lack. Otherwise, you’ll only manifest more and more lack into your life.
Once you can admit to yourself, “I am okay where I am,” and you stop fighting reality, it will be so much easier.
In her book, Loving What Is: Four Questions That Can Change Your Life, Byron Katie says, “When I argue with reality, I lose—but only 100% of the time.”
When you argue with your current circumstances, you will only perpetuate them.
You can’t change what’s here right now. Accept them first, then decide what you’d like to manifest next. But stop pushing against what’s here already. It’s already done.
Why Sometimes Things Get Worse First
I know it’s not fun. You just want to get to the point where you can change all of the unwanted. But, this is so necessary.
If you keep asking, “When is it going to change?” You are just bringing more awareness to what is already.
This is why it often gets worse. When you start focusing on what is here already, and feeling bad about that, you are essentially telling the Universe to bring you more exactly like your current reality, or even possibly a bit worse, since you are bringing awareness to your resistance.
When you bring awareness to your resistance, your resistance just gets bigger.
It has to. This is how the law of attraction works. What you focus on, expands.
You feel the need to change your desire because you feel the lack so strongly. Shift instead to feeling better, and your outer reality will naturally improve.
Why We Experience Challenges
The law of attraction takes spiritual growth. We don’t want to hear this, but the journey is most of it.
If everything came all at once, there would be no growth, no enjoyment. We came here for the contrast, not to have everything be easy.
It’s like a video game. Do you play the easiest video game? No, it would get boring! You play the most difficult one that is still enjoyable to you, that you know you can eventually beat.
Maybe you’ll lose a few times. But you know, with time and improvement, you’ll get better.
You’ve chosen your life for the challenges, because you knew you could overcome them.
I am visually impaired. I know that I chose this condition, and I am okay with that. I know there was a reason I chose to be the way I am.
I know that if I wanted, I could potentially change this manifestation. Yet, it is not a negative manifestation for me because I don’t feel badly about it.
Perhaps in a future post, I’ll cover how the law of attraction applies to illness or disability, especially life-long ones.
If we had no challenges, things would just get boring. If you came into this world as a billionaire with a huge mansion, what else would there be to do?
You can have it all, but the path to having it all is the fun part. This is spiritual development. This is spiritual evolution.
So, Accept Your Challenges and Move Towards What You Want
Once you accept where you are, you’ll naturally stop chasing your desire. You’ll naturally be able to sit back and allow more and more.
And it might not happen immediately. You have resistance that you are working through, which has possibly been here for years. But just find a way to feel a little less bad. Just keep feeling a little better, and a little better, and a little better.
And in time, it’ll be easy. You’ll see more and more evidence of your manifestation.
Don’t allow yourself to focus on something that doesn’t feel good to you.
It does take trust and faith. When I first got into this, I was extremely skeptical. I wanted it to be true, but didn’t really believe it.
But I gained experience. I saw it working in my life, because I gave it some openness. Things just started happening. And that trust naturally grew.
This is your process, just feeling a little better.
If you’re in a car going 70 MPH, and you try to make a u-turn, it’s not going to be very good.
That car going 70 MPH is your current negative momentum. You can’t just immediately shift to the positive.
Slow down first, reduce the negative momentum, then start focusing on what you want.
Otherwise it’ll just increase the momentum. You’ll get a mix of both the wanted and the unwanted, and both will get bigger.
Find a Way to Look Away from External Circumstances
You have to find a way to not look at the external circumstances. It is hard because they are right there in your face. Find a way to remove your focus, and soon they will change effortlessly. Find a way to not be so strongly focused on this unwanted manifestation.
See it as feedback. This unwanted manifestation is a sign that you were focusing on something you didn’t feel good about. This is valuable.
Once you’re feeling a little less bad, then you can start to shift your focus. Is it possible something good could happen? Focus on that new openness. Let it grow naturally.
As you do this, you stop needing it so much, and pretty soon, out of the blue, the solution comes.
You are always moving towards your highest good. You are just letting go and letting the stream take you.
As you start focusing on the positive vibration, it has to come into your reality. It takes time, but it is the law of attraction. It has to happen.
Have faith that the perfect solution will come, and it definitely will.
